Hurricanes Helene and Milton have caused extensive damage to Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. You can impact the lives of those in need.

You can provide practical help to people who have lost everything after the hurricane. Along the way, you can encourage them and share God's love. Serve for a day or multiple days. No experience or training necessary.

This is a developing situation, and we have partners serving in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Tasks are varied and depends on location and dates available to serve. While we are deployed in numerous locations, those below are the current areas in need of additional volunteers.

This page and information is dedicated to local volunteers responding in the St. Petersburg, Florida, area who do not need overnight lodging. If you would like to volunteer in other locations or need overnight lodging accommodations, please visit: onmissionnetwork.org/volunteer

Sarasota, Florida:

Serve on the flood recovery team by "mucking-out" houses. You'll have the opportunity to minister to those affected by the hurricane as you serve. This involves helping homeowners in one of the first steps of recovery - removing wet items and building materials.

This site is operational through November and likely into December. However, this site will be closed the week of Thanksgiving.

  • No experience needed. We'll teach you everything you need to know.
  • Volunteers must be 14 years old or older. Volunteers ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Please bring a sack lunch. Or you can make a lunch at the church prior to leaving for the service site.
  • Please arrive before service time begins each day at 8 a.m. and our work will conclude at approximately 4 p.m.
  • Please wear long pants, comfortable clothes, work gloves, close-toed shoes and a cap. If serving on the feeding team, please tie back long hair.
