Hurricane Helene - North Carolina
Disasters spread destruction over relatively short periods of time. Recovery lasts much longer, and On Mission Network volunteers are coming back and back and back.
Hurricane Helene struck Florida in late September, and then its remains brought flooding to a broad swath of the southeastern United States, especially in North Carolina and East Tennessee.
On Mission Network volunteers responded quickly, and multiple teams have continued to make the long journey eastward to help as relief moved into recovery. Teams are now working in North Carolina doing rebuild projects so that families can return to their homes.
